School District of Somerset Academic Standards

Academic Standards are the first step in providing Somerset School District students with a high-quality education. It should be clear to every student, parent, and teacher what the standards of success are in every school. The goal of the standards is to provide the skills necessary so students are prepared for success in postsecondary education and the workforce.

State and National Academic Standards specify what students should know and be able to do, what they might be asked to do to give evidence of standards, and how well they must perform. They include content, performance, and proficiency standards.
